Man, Donbrothers......


-To get this out of the way, I know some folks might consider this to be a lesser variant to a certain relationship in Inoue's past works, not enough bulidup and whatnot. But like......that kind of slow-burn actually doesn't fit these characters at all?! Taro and Sonoi are like, guys don't beat around the bush? When something needs to be done, they *do* it. Comparing these 1000% "on the offensive" types to Takkun and Yuji, one playing the part of a relucant hero for a good chunk of his show and another just trying to make sure him and his Opernoch buddies live through the day, it's clear that it's not the best comparsion to make. Besides......cutting this relationship super short-before it even had to grow buds, much less blossom!-is just wonderfully tragic in my opinion, and fits them well. I respect anyone who felt otherwise, tho.

-The Don Family loredump, it's super interesting. Since Dragoku also shares the Don title, they're related? (I've heard Taro can be used as kind of an suffix to denote the eldest son, and it seems like our new friend's name is commonly used for second sons, so...) Just when you thought we'd spent the next few episodes unraveling the Juuto and their intentions, Inoue drops another box of possiblities onto us. Kinda reminds me of how Agito's mysteries were handled...

-Speaking of new friend, Jiro seems like a sweet kid. I'm sure I'll like him. I've seen very few Sentai, but killing your main so that the sixth can replace them-gotta be one of the more intentive ways to introduce them, right?
