I do agree I can't think of any big Viking media in Japan... Closest I can think of is that One Piece has some Viking inspired characters? One Piece is Toei for the anime and Bandai for the toys so I suppose if the episodes with those characters do noticeably well, or they have figures that sell well that could have influenced a decision like this?

We also know Toei does a lot of focus group research with kids so possible that for some reason we're unaware of kids are super into Vikings rn lol

Recently we did have Valkyrie which is Norse themed, so maybe there is some interest in Japan for Scandanavian themed things???

Thor 4 is coming out soon? I know marvel is popular in Japan so maybe they wanna ride the potential wave off of that?

I guess my point is who know's what toei is thinking, these people gave us fruit warriors and a phone shark, they do weird stuff lol, its hard to know what they're basing their decisions on a lot of the time, and idk what's big with little kids in Japan rn, possible there's something we're not seeing

Still tho I wouldn't be shocked if this is just a coincidence and this is a pun on smth totally unrelated... it's a "we won't know until we know" situation I guess lol
