Just notes from me watching the first Ep:

• I love daybreak town, a lot of creators would use dry ashy waste to convey destruction, but I love that daybreak is flooded with clear blue water, it's unique.
  
• I wonder how long Izu was in the basement, I doubt too long, but I don't know much about the pre-show stuff from zero one.
  
• I love that when the show was airing Aruto's actor was a full 4 years younger then his character. It's probably cause they wanted him to be baby-faced, so I think that it was good choice.
  
• I really love that the comedian humagear reaches singularity from bringing happiness to others, it's a good wholesome moment before tragedy strikes
  
• The little scene with Aruto's dad is great tbh. Also knowing what I know about zero one, I wish I knew more about Aruto's dad. KR fan club where were you!
  
• I really like the undersuit for the MOTW here, but the head doesn't feel right? Maybe it looks too big? The greens here are really striking.
• Fuwa just overriding Yaiba here gives me a chuckle, just 0 regard for her wanting data
  
• The way the flashback to what the theme park owner said to Aruto is used both as a way to demotivate Aruto and then turns around and is used as a way to push him towards action is clever writing. Also man I love visual story telling.
  
• The theme and aesthetic of the speed of data processing is one of my favorite things about zero one. Seeing it is always great. It's a lot like super speed but a lot more interesting. Also like it just looks cool as hell.
  
• Henshin's are almost always awesome but I love aruto's here. The giant grasshopper being beamed down from space is striking and fun. We see the inside of the driver as the key is inserted which is unique. The way the grass hoper is bonded to aruto's base suit is visually impressive. The jingle is simple and sweet. And man! I love the voice to speech quotes at the end of Aruto's transformations they're just such a good use of the toy aesthetic.
  
• I don't have much to say on the Zero One suit that hasn't already been said, but man do I love it, It's great!
  
• (also if you can't tell I've really enjoyed this so far, but lack the words to really make each part sound unique, sorry bout that.
  
• I love that aruto fights with speed and dexterity, it's very unique among kamen riders, who usually put that in a secondary form. He might not be as powerful but he gets hit less (unless it's plot convenient) and he hits a lot.
  
• The pose Aruto does where he sticks out his arms before charging is both endearing (it feels dorky and cute) and pretty badass.
  
• No one else seems to have mentioned it but the BGM for zero one is fantastic! The horns are just so triumphant and classically kamen ridery feeling but the tempo and power makes em feel a lot more modern and unique too! (gonna probably ramble more about this track later)
  
• Riders getting hit by their equipment as it's thrown to them is a favorite gag of mine. It worked great in Faiz and works great here (also probably other places but I've not watched enough KR yet) Edit: I've not watch Faiz either the accel watch moment is jut iconic.
  
• The transition to silence as we cut to hood boy (who doesn't get a name in the episode so gets no name here) is done really well. Hood boy shooting the humagear as the "lost child" announcement plays, is just a striking image. It's a great lull in the fight to, gives the audience a break from the action and stuff.
  
• Oh hey they did the same thing ex-aid's first ep did (I think) where the theme song doesn't play at the start but instead over a triumphant moment for our hero, love that.
  
• The rider kick is classic by now. SO-DO literally made accessories so you could replicate it. I just love how stylish it is. It's a lot like Ex-aid but more streamlined and clean.
  
• I love aruto twisting his ankle, it reminds you that under that suit it's still Aruto, and that Aruto is in fact a turbo dork.
  
• Aruto "and then I was like boom" is me if I was a kamen rider. I'd probably really love describing what I did but not be the best at it.
  
• Oh the kid talking to the theme park owner/manager has english words on his shirt! "Will you come join us?" then upside down "I will definitely join you" which I think is just word salad, but also is kind of appropriate in a weird way? It can be seen as like a way of symbolizing Aruto being asked to join the corporation and then doing so here, or something. I just vibes with the moment.
  
• I like that rise phones are thick, makes em look tough. I also like the slick black one aruto gets here. This is completely unrelated to the show, but I kind of wish Phones had to pass the drop test toys have to pass, or that at least cases did.
  
• I actually do kind of like Aruto's Card joke here, puns get me.
  
• Oh hey the gimmick rotation table, I remember you from Ryusoulger!

Conclusion: This episode is rad as hell, and a great opening.
