Nail polish does indeed work but the problem is the different brands vary wildly. I use a brand called "POP arazzi" from my local drugstore and I've had success with sealing the stickers on FRS build and some SODO. Some brands also have stronger odors than others, this one is pretty strong.

Whatever you use, you would want to test on something if possible. Like cut up an unused portion of the sticker sheet and stick it to similar plastic then cover it in nail polish to get an idea of how it looks/works. And I recommend using an ultrasoft paint brush instead of the one that comes with it. Ideally that brush gets cleaned with nail polish remover between uses. You basically just want to be careful of scratching the sticker details and nylon bristles can do that.

I don't have the kit, but if the stickers are like the other FRS I'm thinking off, Mark setter would not work. That stuff is specifically for decals.
