It's just so strange to me that we had Episode 40 be about Ikki and Daiji's differing views on Giff and the show had this thing about portraying him as more of a event/force of nature that all the characters had different ideas and interpretations of what he is or wants. And suddenly we transition to Giff just showing up at the finale of Genta vs Vail and essentially going: "Welp, I'm here to destroy humanity and rebuild it suit my needs I guess..."
