Now caught up on what we have of Dino Fury on Netflix, and if you want the short version of my current takeaway, it's that Void Knight and Javi are the best and that Zayto is the worst.

The biggest point of contention is that when Void Knight pleas to join the Rangers after everything in his life has gone south, it's Zayto who holds the biggest point of contention; Even noting how Void Knight was the one to release the Sporix, without even the slightest hint of irony or awareness.

Like, yeah, I get being skeptical due to all the terror that Void Knight has caused, but really, Zayto and/or Aiyon should've been the one(s) to bridge the gap, rather than widen it. Instead the honor of bridging it goes to Javi, who remains my favorite Ranger of the group.

Speaking of making up for mistakes though, I've noticed that this show has a real bad habit of making the characters who have done nothing wrong(especially by comparison) be the ones to apologize. Like, I get the idea of meeting people in the middle and being the bigger man, but like, Javi was 100% right about the way Garcia had been treating him, and Aiyon was absolutely in the right about how Izzy had been treating him ever since the bike race.

I know that was alot of complaining, but I do still think that the show overall is fine, just rough in some areas. Where it really shines for me are the character interactions, alot of the smart alack dialogue, and the great action ripped right from the Sentai. I also do appreciate the increased focus on continuity with past seasons, although I suppose I could understand if people saw that as nostalgia-baiting. If nothing else, I have Void Knight's' arc to cling to(even if turning him into Void King robbed him of it a little), and characters that I like is really all that I need when it comes to the stories I consume.
