Summing up the show as a whole, the season is rather average. It began abruptly, was quickly blown away, then began to improve, but it was hard and stumbling at every step. I'll start with the pros:
+ Family. It is very unusual to see a protagonist with a complete family, which is also actively involved in the plot. In general, Revice picked up on a lot previously ignored by the franchise in a way that's perfect for an anniversary show, as it shows that Toei has something to show for the next 50 years;
+ Hiromi. The situation is so unusual that it is even unbelievable. In any case, it's amazing how a character doomed to die in the first episode managed to become an audience favorite, despite the fact that the show could easily do without him;
+ In general, I like all the positive characters and their interactions, even if they were given a little plot;
+ Really unexpected deaths. Impressive and added weight to the plot;
+ Additional content. Very diverse and for every taste, perhaps, I don’t remember such a variation of genres in any of the previous shows;
+ First dyno rider. Yes, the theme of dinosaurs is not disclosed, but this is another reason to return to it again.
Now I want to touch on the cons:
- The main one that everyone else follows: this is not a 50-episode story. Yes, many show riders suffer from this problem, and Kinoshita is also new to tokusatsu, but it's still worth mentioning;
- There is not a single memorable enemy. The Deadmen had potential, both collectively and individually, but they were quickly disposed of. Akaishi and Giff are boring, primitive and could not even pull out their characters with charisma. Two episodes of Juga I won't even count;
- In general, the show from all possible development paths has always chosen the least interesting, but really cool storylines either missed or cut down very much;
- The theme of demons is undeveloped, because there are no clear terms of the contract and rules for the interaction of a person and his demon;
- The theme of dinosaurs is forgotten and almost does not affect anything;
- The theme of the bath is also undisclosed. Okay, I'm joking here, but with the same success, Igarashi could run a restaurant or a hotel and nothing would have changed.
Overall, I liked the show rather than not. It's definitely not my least favorite riding season. He's probably the least favorite of the Reiwa era, but the sample is still too small. Plus, I'm sure I'll enjoy the additional post-show content more than Zero-One. Unless they plan to kill Daiji, Genta, Hiromi, Hana and Tamaki in the V-cinema and then introduce George to Evolt in a 10 minute special.
