Didn't really occur to me until this late into the show, but Kaito is basically the archetypical sentai 'mentor' character, except the only times he contributes or supports the team (which is sparse), its for his own self-interest. Combined with his very laid-back to reaction to everything makes him maybe the funniest version of this archetype I've ever seen. Everything from the MVP announcment to the 'reward' was perfect. Not even getting into all the meta jokes about the fact that he's a palette swap of the main guy from the previous year.

I don't normally think to mention previews but the preview for next week really feels exceptionally exciting with everything possible happening at once...!
