Shirowe may seem weak due to his early death here, but we should remember that this is a DGP finale and he placed third out of 32 participants. This guy must've kicked a lot of a** offscreen!

Michinaga's kind of mean, but I respect how he's honest about his selfish motivation and willing to call out others on their hypocrisy for trying to appear more heroic than they actually are, when everybody's in the DGP for their own desires. Excited to see how his rivalry with Ace will play out.

Neon is cute and I can totally understand why her fans, including Sara, find her so endearing for wanting to enjoy a normal life as a popular streamer, without the inconvenience of her family's high profile. And she's a love interest for Ace? Intriguing!

Keiwa is pretty cynical for someone who wishes for world peace. I can relate a little to his struggle to find work, since it's real competitive out there, but maybe that halfhearted attitude is the reason why nobody's taking him seriously. I mean, he doesn't even like Neon's channel!

True to his bio, our protagonist Ace is very mysterious. As the winner of the DGP, he wished for a world that looks identical to the one that just ended, so his true desire must be something else. He's clearly a professional in the field though, showing skilled precision with the Magnum Shooter 40X.

Geats becomes the first Rider since Geiz to use form changes in the first episode of a Rider show (not counting Revi's chubby legs), which means he's also the first Rider to set that precedent for the Reiwa Era, like how Decade set it for the Heisei Era!

Anybody else find it a little annoying how Keiwa and Neon, who were civilians trying to survive an apocalypse, feel inclined to call out the animal motif of every Rider that shows up? I hope that doesn't become a recurring thing.

It's nice that the reset is established as part of the plot from the start, so we'll see that inevitable reset ending coming this time. It feels good to be excited about watching KR again, after Revice left me feeling disappointed. It's too early to judge Geats yet, but I hope it can maintain the quality of this episode, it was a lot of fun.

My only concern going forward is a rumor I heard about a lack of secondary writers. I wouldn't want Takahashi to get burned out again, unless Takebe is just that confident she can bring out his talent.

Same here. I'll always be grateful to IzuSubs for coming through for us when we needed them the most, after that one twitter guy snitched about TV-Nihon to Toei. But I can understand their reason for losing motivation, they want to sub things that make people happy.
