Episode 6: Dive Into the Heart

I've been having these weird thoughts lately...

...Like, is any of this for real...

...Or not?

I guess it's just as well. It's quiet here; Peaceful. If this is the sort of gift I can offer everyone else, maybe it is all for the best.

Affirmative. Logically, if giving up one's self brings peace and tranquility to the rest of the world, then one should be an example and give themselves unto the world. It's the only way for society to advance.

No more malice, no more fear, no more rage, hate, despair, or conflict... If I'm really a source of all of that, then the least I can do is remove it all, and secure the happiness of those around me. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

You're making the right choice. To be human is to suffer. Conflict can only arise due to everyone having a different idea of righteousness and morality, and acting solely on instinct and feelings rather than what is logically the best course for the world at large. Rejoice, as you will become the shining example and stepping stone for the new world to come.

As long as my friends are happy, then I guess that's all that matters.

They most certainly will be. Once they undergo the same conversion process that you are, all will feel, act, and work the same. True paradise will be within reach, along with the extinction of every flaw that humans bring to existence.

...What? But, my friends are good people. Why would they need to change?

You and I both know the answer to that question better than anyone. They are flawed. Over active, over thinking, over bearing, and overtly presumptuous. The reflections of them brought by my stepping into your mind revealed the truth: They also are ruled by emotion rather than reason, and as such must be put on the correct course in life.

No, that's not true!

What!? Where is this life energy coming from!? My analysis showed that his heart had sunk into the depths!

I won't just stand by and let someone claim that the people I care about are no good! I know that's not true!

Swords...?

Sure, they all have traits that might annoy me sometimes. We might disagree on philosophy, or stories, or a bunch of other petty things every now and again, but their unique thoughts and feelings are what make them who they are, and I would never try to force them to change! People are beautifully engaging because of how different we all are, and there's nothing wrong with feeling different emotions out of stories, conversations, or anything else! I might not be the greatest guy alive, but if nothing else, I know how wonderful my friends are and I'll support them the best that I can. Their hopes, their dreams... all represented by these swords!

Big words from such a small minded individual. But of course, with the abandoning of sheer logic comes something you've overlooked. Even if you stand up to me, you can't even hope to grasp those blades of which you look upon so fondly. I, however, don't need such things. Struggle as you might, I've already infested your very core. You can't even hope to touch me!

Even if I don't have the inner strength to face you myself, the fact that they're here, standing by me, that's all that I need!

What? Again!?

This is the sword of my dreams! And with it, I'm getting rid of you once and for all! My heart belongs to me!

Impossible... this is impossible!

You'll never be rid of me... so long as negativity exists within you, I'll always have a way to come back.

I can live with that. We all have parts of ourselves we're not exactly proud of, but as long as we can learn to acknowledge and work with those feelings, we can always strive for a better day. I realize that now. As long as we can keep moving forward, we can shine, and darkness will fade.

Then... until the day we meet again...

What does the future hold? Who knows? Life is full of things that twist and turn our outlooks in incredibly different ways. But as long as I can stay focused on what's important, I have faith that everything will turn out okay.

People can think the stories, jokes, or lessons that I attach to are stupid, or not fully realized, or pointless... that's fine. But my own happiness and my own experiences are just as valuable as anyone else's', and I shouldn't let them be so easily taken away. That goes for anyone else, too. Sure, I might hate Kamen Rider Decade and not understand a single thing about it, but if it brought others happiness, and it doesn't do any sort of real harm, then I'm not about to barge in and tell people they're wrong or misguided in what they value.

Fun, as important as it is, is subjective. Heck, maybe that's exactly why it's so important and valuable in the first place.
