Oh man, you're giving me nostalgia. I loved just going into random department stores and supermarkets and just seeing Ex-Aid stuff everywhere. Even 7-11 had awesome toku merch. The prices were unbeatable as well. I saw SHF Akarenger at Anime Jungle in Osaka for like 1400円 or so. I didn't grab it (because we didn't have time but were planning a return trip that never happened). and ended up paying like $45 for it in the US (which is still a pretty good deal here.) I did grab SHF Decade for around 2400円, though, which was also a good price.
