P.S.: Decidedly odd how the initials pair with Super Sentai. Even odder that they echo (though I imagine this was unintentional) something that's more terrifying on a historical level.

The "Science Special Search Party" or "SSSP" is the official English language reading for the Kanji.


In Japanese the Kanji writing for the team is 科学特別捜査隊 "Kagaku tokubetsu sosa-tai" which literally translates to "Science Special Search Party" or in some translations "Science Special Investigation Team" which is usually abbreviated to 科学特捜隊 "Kagaku tokuso-tai" which translates to "Science Team" or more commonly "Science Patrol"
