In general, offtopic, but since the time when the MCU threw this topic into the mainstream, it has jarred me. The problem of lack of resources is not caused by overpopulation, but by their uneven distribution. To feed the entire current population of the planet, +/- territory commensurate with France is enough. And even in very densely populated Japan, there are deserted or sparsely populated cities. In a word, overpopulation is a self-deception of the inhabitants of large cities. More often go to the village or just to nature, so that you will be convinced of it.

If it were as easy as that, there wouldn't be overpopulated places at all in any country, let alone in a smaller country like Japan. Not to mention deforestation being an issue in and of itself. I will consent that at some point we might get there with advanced technology, but until Elon Musk makes underground cities, we aren't truly there yet. Furthermore, what about all the other issues I stated? Let's say for the sake of argument even if someone did agree with the immigration angle, how does that magically excuse all the other issues in the series? Do you really enjoy a Kamen Rider series where the main character isn't even the main character and is just a side character with no personality? Hell, Kotaro barely even fights in the series. One rider kick and one rider punch, wow such a great series.
