Just got done reading Power Rangers Universe, and overall I felt it was decent.

Similar to Edge of Darkness, the book's' main advertising point is revealing the origins of the Phantom Ranger from Power Rangers Turbo.

And, well, just like that book, yeah, sure, we do get a bit more details on his background, but not any sort of details that fans as a whole really asking for, I feel. And like in that book, he's more used as a vehicle for showcasing other characters.

Which is where I feel the book falls kinda short? The first two chapters especially... it was hard for me to digest exactly was what going on and who was who at first. I feel like the story overall could've used one extra issue/chapter to really flesh these characters out, especially given they're the Morphin' Masters and all.

But, thinking of it in terms of a prequel action movie/special, the story does its job well enough, and although not under my own ideal terms, it is cool to finally see where the Dairanger suits come from, even if it still doesn't really explain their use in Super Mega Force. I did like specific origins of Phantom Ranger's' suit though. A neat explanation for why it's so unique looking.

Anyway yeah, overall the story was fine for what it was, and if you're at all interested, the yeah, check it out.
