Movies on DVD are about access.

Paramount + claims to be the home of everything Star Trek.

But what I've noticed is that lately regardless of the feed all you
see is stuff that feed produces. I wonder how long it will be before
Paramount decides to drop TOS , TNG , DS9 , Voyager and Enterprise
and the other stuff not produced by Paramount +?

Also HBO Max has dropped a ton of stuff.

Netflix may have enough of their own in house shows and
movies that even if they lost everything else they could still
keep going. But no feed will carry any show or movie not made
in house So we could lose a lot of pre Paramount + series even
though produced by CBS years ago.

The same holds true for other feeds.

This is the main reason I buy TV series and movies on DVD. (Some of them)

In the case of X men it helps to keep track of the overall number of
movies and I indicate if a movie relaunches and what not. X Men has done
11 main line movies. Some movies had restarted more than once.
