It just sucks that the parts were annoying and dumb. I never like the super heavy comedy characters; I prefer writing that creates comedy by playing character traits correctly, instead of one big walking "make the funny"-machine.

I think for me his slapstick moments worked as comedic moments, so while the show does not make my top 10 Kamen Rider shows list it has its moments thanks to Onari.
