It begins something of a running thing about Touma that I love, where he fights using his understanding of the stories that give him power, and contrasting it upfront that way with a trained swordsman failing to have that same level of intuition makes that concept much clearer through contrast.

This is a truly great moment. The beginning of it is fairly standard - the primary Rider sees the path to victory that the other Rider doesn't, leading to the other Rider's horrified reaction and expectation of imminent, avoidable defeat. But the twist afterwards, where Rintaro becomes both contrite in his underestimation of Touma's abilities, and like, a big ol' cheerleader for Touma's monster detonation.. pretty great! Not as quintessential and iconic as Rintaro's whole Oh I'm Not Explaining "This Book Is Too Dangerous" Well, Let Me Try Again thing from his introduction, but still pretty unique to this series.
