I saw someone mention this in the Figuarts thread a couple days ago, before I saw Jaou Dragon in the show. It's a very neat touch!

I don't know if I'd say Rintaro has a negative side in this one? He wants to keep Kento safe throughout, and his only "failing" is in how he can't quite see the situation from Kento's perspective. But, then, that's universal? This whole plot is about how the narratives we construct to explain our world are invariably different than the ones other people construct, and how hard it can be to (figuratively!) get on the same page.
