It's so serious of a cliffhanger that it'd be inappropriate for Tassel to do his normal high-energy comedy, but, like: we have to have Tassel bookend the episode. Him and Hooded Stranger showing up was a nice way to make that happen, while also providing some hope for Kento in the next episode.
