Yeah, it's his first big But Why Heroism speech. I don't know if it completely landed for me (I'm not really connecting with the actor's performance, if I'm honest) but I appreciate the show trying to give his struggle a little more depth than Honoring Promises, which is a very surface-level motivation. I like that it's him as a writer, where he has to know characters inside and out, and he has to see himself in them and vice versa. Him getting pummeled to save someone is just a reminder of what they're going through, so he can fight even harder on their behalf.

It's the culmination of the last few fights where you can feel Touma's frustration reaching a breaking point. He's just got to get over there! To do one thing! And he can't get free to do it!
