But yeah plenty of mess here. Remember Sonoi’s funeral and those cloak guys? I thought for sure Momotaro’s adopted dad was one of those dudes, but they have not been mentioned at all. And our boy Jiro? show is treating him about as well as his teammates.

Eh the show was written kind of in the heat of the moment, and I would say it mostly worked. And any plot loose ends (which the series writer admitted he likes having) could always be fodder for crossover films or reunion movies.
