I think Kamen Rider Geats might be going for a moral similar to Over Quartzer. The past to us was someone else's present. It matters to them. It matters to the Riders willing to risk their lives for their desires. But from a perfect future, the DGP staff and sponsors were forced to turn to the gritty present/past for their entertainment.

They're further proof that "world peace" is truly unsustainable, as humans' sadistic side can't be content unless someone else is suffering. And a little sadism is healthy, it's necessary for human development. However, it becomes a problem when the future people are imposing that on the present/past.

Beroba's an enjoyable villain. She pretty much wants to watch the world burn, literally in the case of Jyamar Garden. Even her fellow sponsors think she's dangerous. I mean, the Jyamato sponsor just murdered all the Jyamatos on a whim, with a finisher as destructive as Rising Mighty's nuclear kick. Archimedel should probably fire her. Her Rider form is giant! I don't know why it's giant, but it's awesome! She's clearly a villain with no redeeming qualities, but maybe in a karmic way, she's the villain the future people deserve. They wanted to bring chaos to the world, well now they have it.

Ziin's still shady, I don't trust him either, but he seems to genuinely enjoy the gratification of seeing people fight to overcome their suffering, which makes him especially drawn to Ace's quest for his impossible desire. Much like how we as fans of Kamen Rider want to cheer for our heroes against increasingly difficult battles. Their suffering may be a part of our entertainment, but so are their victories and their desires.

Na-Go rolled a Fever Beat on her first try. Hmm, I suspect her sponsor, that Kyuun guy, probably rigged the Raise Buckle. If it was Tycoon, then I'd simply dismiss it as his luck stat bonus, but for Na-Go, seems a little too convenient to not be rigged. I wonder if sponsors have to pay extra for those power-ups.

Now that we know the origin of the DGP, I have some new theories. I speculate that Ace, the Sakurai siblings, Neon and Win are all descendants of the future. All five main Riders except Michinaga. This would explain why Ace's desire to see Mitsume got rejected and why the Sakurai parents stayed dead. Their existence is a spoiler for the truth about the DGP. Maybe having kids in their past caused them to become too emotionally attached to that era, forcing the DGP to cut them loose for the sake of preserving the entertainment.

I thought I saw Matsuda Kenji in the next time preview, but nope, turns out it was someone else. Kind of disappointed.
