To be fair, in Toei Spiderman, a wounded dog fell off a bridge into a river and survived. This is probably why, when the next time the show touched on the dog theme, they immediately exterminated the whole kennel.
But it seems that in Gavan all the dogs remained intact, there they only mocked the rabbits.
