Yeah, I think there's a big difference between Kento's fatalism, which is a consequence of his guilt and martyrdom, and Storious's fatalism, which has more to do with his selfishness and vanity. They're both Victims Of Fate, or however you might want to term it, but that's mostly a cover for their emotional issues. They're both two guys that handled situations really badly, is maybe the reductive (but accurate!) way of putting it.

It's a great string of episodes. There's a weight to these last few Sabers that I don't know if I see in a lot of Kamen Rider finales, and I think a lot of it comes down to this incredibly large cast all (almost all) being in one place at one time. We're not really dealing with multiple overlapping apocalypses, or folks being kidnapped, or huge twists about what story is actually being told. Short of Mei and Luna being in a little subplot, everyone's deployed to fight the villain, and that's the story. There's a... I don't know, a coherence to the mission and the action that really makes it feel epic; we know what needs to be done, and now we get to see if the heroes can do it.
