That's correct! It was writer Keiichi Hasegawa as that Humagear (which is funny on it's own with the idea that Humagear are just something that exists in this world, just constantly off screen) and on top of that the award Touma received was the Ikkei Hasegawa award, also named after him.

...on a more dour note, the ultimate endgame of Luna's presence in this series being to die to give Touma a literal power up is. Pretty sour to me. At least she gets to be a force ghost in the end...?
