Game Systems And Difficulty Of Game Play

It seems to me with each new game systems that the game
okay gets worse in terms of toughness and here is a major
case of this.

Tomb Raider

The first 5 games had challenge balance and were playable.

But when Tomb Raider VII Legend hit holy bollocks. Total
insanity out of the gate with jumps and what not that
didn't seem like you could make it.

The challenge level was pushing to insanity with each
game in Legend.

Now with Tomb Raider X - XII (Survivor Trilogy) this is
way worse with the drop of the PS 3 and 4.

The point of this being that just because a new system
drops is no excuse to ramp up how hard games should
be.

My playing the Legend Trilogy has proven it.

On another note getting caught up on the
P S 2 era a bit.
