Oh hey, another sub difference.



This was an episode that, while alot of what it does is pretty cool in seclusion, in terms of series composition, I would've been way more emotionally invested had it happened later on down the line after getting to know Daiji a bit more. It also marked the point I realized that Ikki really doesn't have any sort of agency in the overall plot, and likely never will despite his mother's' push to have him do so via the Fenix contract. Vice is far more of a lead character currently, interestingly. It's also the first time we get a hint at George's' preferences, which is a nice little detail to have.

As well, episode 8 features one of the cooler Line Texts, wherein what is probably Ikki's' biggest flaw gets a major highlight for the first time.
