Oh this was a rather fun episode.

Kagero is very petty, but given this is Daiji we're talking about, it's not very surprising that petty is one of Kagero's biggest personality quirks. But I also love that there is no real big plot with him, it's just "Let them enjoy their weekend and then ruin it at the best moment". It's so simple yet it works extremely well.

Also George I'd like to talk to you about your Driver aesthetics, because why in Fruit Jesus' name would you think "Eenie Meenie Miney Moe" is an acceptable Driver standby? I say this though I laugh whenever I hear it.

But yeah Die, you basically mentioned the reasons as to why I found the episode enjoyable. A lot of it is setup with the Igarashi's just enjoying themselves while things happen in the background, culminating in a big punch to the face from Kagero to Ikki. Then everything just spirals out of control into a bit of a downer note as we finally kick off the Evil Arc after meandering a bit with the various single episode stamp cases.

Something that did surprise me though was the second family that had been around since the first episode and sorta just vanished afterwards. It's interesting to see them again... and also odd given just what they were up to this episode.

Regardless, it was an overall fun episode. And also if you thought Revice was free from receiving a sword just cause he had a gun axe, then you're wrong. Our new hammer saw to that.
