Yeah, I think the assault on the Deadmans' nightclub-church-spaceship is fine this early in the run, since the Giffamilia never felt like an especially strong or devious adversary? Fenix arguably has them on sheer numbers, and Revi/Vice/Etc have managed to defeat all the new recruits at least once, so... why not just take the fight to them? Especially with Barid Rex as a new level of power? There's a sort of indifference the show has had to the Giffamilia as any kind of sustained, focused threat that makes their defeat here more of a jumping off point to a bigger story, than the end of anything that defined the show.
