Yeah, it's a conclusion that makes Ikki's trusting nature -- usually a drawback for investigators -- the thing that allows him to see that Kaido's not the culprit, and that Suzu is doing horrible things due to unresolved trauma. He was crucial to this story's mostly positive outcome! (I mean, one guy is definitely still dead, so....)
