What are some for the PS2 can one recommend?

Nope. Just PS2 and Wii for "recent" generation.

For the PS2, they're pretty limited. Instrument of Justice is a good rpg style game set around Agito's story, linking Agito to the original Kamen Rider, and Black. It's good, but it's totally untranslated.

There's also the first Climax Heroes fighting game, but it's not very good. The later installments are much better, but they're all on the Wii and PSP. I have the most recent one for the Wii, and it's a lot of fun.

The Kabuto game is probably the best of the bunch. A fun fighting game, with some great party modes. It's fast paced, and has a ton of stuff to unlock.
