Geats IX does look a little better in action and the collateral damage negation effects are pretty cool. This seems like an OP Final Form, comparable to Hyper Kabuto and Zero Two.

My headcanon for Fox Mask is that he's the collective spirit of all the previous incarn-Ace-tions and his appearance of Ukiyo Ace symbolizes that Ukiyo Ace is one of many faces that he wears. This scene reminds me of Oma Zi-O's advice to Sougo, but instead of flattery, Fox Mask acts as an impartial judge and interrogates Ace in a way he's uniquely qualified to do, trying to get him to remember that his true desire to see Mitsume is about (holds up Win's card) Love and Peace, which is stronger than destruction.

I wonder if this is why Ace also tells other people they're better off forgetting, like he's employing the same reverse psychology to motivate them to disobey his suggestions and fight harder for their desires. Or maybe he did actually mean it at first, but Michinaga's "reckless" determination in Episode 9 taught him that he was being unfair to them, as neither of them can accept losing when they have so much at stake.

I guess this makes Ace equivalent to Luna, being the true successor instead of the artificial one. Since we learned that he'd been unconsciously wishing the inherited memories upon himself, then now that he finally accomplished his goal, I guess future incarn-Ace-tions won't need to receive the name, coin or memories anymore. Something I agree with Niram about is that Ace should show more love towards his Ukiyo family, not only focusing on Mitsume, so I would like to see Ace be a good son to Mika. He has new family as well, since Kousei and Sueru each used Mitsume's power to create the artificial lifeforms Neon and Tsumuri respectively, meaning Tsumuri was his older sister even before he granted the desire to make it official.

Oh, that makes sense. I was confused about Niram's reaction at first, but since he's all about the Reality, you're right, he'd totally see Sueru's plan for Tsumuri as a defilement of the authentic miracle of Mitsume's powers. I was surprised that Samas just took out a gun and shot him though. I think that's the first time I even typed her name. But even though she claims to take over, it's Sueru who becomes the new Gazer. I didn't like Niram for his role in exploiting Mitsume, but it's hard not to feel a little sympathetic for him getting betrayed by his own people like that. He has his limits, just like Seito Prime Minister in Build.
