I'm not saying that Saber didn't do a better job of illustrating how Kento came to his conclusion than how Daiji came to his -- Saber better! Saber much better! -- but I am saying it's a little disingenuous for the fandom to say that the Daiji/Ikki conflict is somehow unintelligible, only a year after Saber pulled nearly the exact same shit. They're both stories about pessimism and despair driving people to become unrecognizable versions of themselves, while the people who love them come off as obstacles! Let's not pretend this is an apples-to-oranges comparison!
