Plus, a bit of theory. Cinema is a visual art and its main method of communicating with the audience is the image. Therefore, everything that can be shown without words must be shown without words. And this is not my invention or preference, but what people are taught in universities.

What are you talking about? Why would there be a scene of Irumi shopping with Neon in Episode 44 when there would be no room for that? Fuck, that's what the very first scene Neon has in 45. Shopping with her mom when Kanato comes and attacks Neon.

Won't go over what I said before, because we're just going to get stuck in a loop over this. I don't even know why we're talking about past episodes like this, considering that this is the thread for Episode 47.

And you can say that cinema is a visual art, but you know, it's also a verbal art, too. Dialogue is often just as important as visuals. Some things can be communicated visual for certain, but there are just moments that need to be verbally said. Also, trying to bring in cinema theory/university talk doesn't make it sound any smarter. And at the end of the day, we're talking about a kid's show. Sometimes we just overanalyze this stuff when we really shouldn't, and forget that it's meant for kids.

I'm sorry, but like, was it really necessary to add that? It would've been fine if you replied, I don't mind that, but like, it only serves to prolong arguments. Where on earth do you think that I was excusing the shit that Neon's parents did? They were shitty parents, yea, and they want to make amends because they do genuinely realized that they loved her, but need to make things right first. Unless you mean "you" as in the "general you", I have no idea where I implied that I thought that they treated her well all the time before.
