Episode 38: The One Who Grasped the Empire

Things have gotten very intense.

And while I did have a good time with this episode, I feel like I shouldn't say all that much about it if I'm being honest.

The way the climax of it goes down is something I've never seen before in, well, any show ever, and as such I don't dare spoil it. Thankfully, there are atleast a couple of other aspects to mention here.

Seeing Akira finally overcome his weakness to women was good to see, and the commentary on how war affects families and the dangers of blind faith were also a nice touch, especially in regards to how such mindsets affect children. Something not often talked about in these stories.

And while this episode could work as an ending to the show all its own, there are still a few little lingering aspects, of which I hope the upcoming last episode will be able to deliver on. Let's find out.
