It made me realize something though, it seems I prefer formulaic Kamen Rider shows.
I mean, in the Reiwa era, I skipped both Saber and Geats that are supposedly good because I didn't like much of it, but I loved Zero-One, Revice, and I'm liking this so far.

Though this'd cement that Geats isn't actually well-liked (still on Reiwa curse?), at least here (the forum in my country didn't like it either, e.g. for not being Gaim in its climatic primary/secondary showdown). It does seem that Tokunation prefers Showa-like stuff. Which, I agree that tastes can vary, but this gives the gatekeeping "you can't criticize or even question it" because it's a classic" vibe, like the hate Ryuki got when it first aired, simply for reasons like not using bug-themed Riders..... Seems only Die can get away with roasting Showa too. I also do have disagreement with Showa teachings too like equate "constantly injuring yourself" with "heroism" and want to oppose that (I do have disagreement with Heisei too though, like how it launches the idealistic butt-monkey archetype).

This seems to be why lighthearted ones shows that aren't typically liked, such as Ghost or Saber, get more loved here (with those still being viewed as unpopular opinion) seem to resemble Showa more thus it'd be loved. Saber isn't generally seen as good, it's viewed as another one of Reiwa curse.

Thought early Revice was good? Was thought to be what'd break Reiwa's curse until ep. 25 came.
