Hell, they were so inconsistent they fucked up how Singularity Points worked.

Woz explained why, and just in the Blade episodes. They changed time so often that they changed the rules for changing time. It sounds crazy, but it should be clear to the target audience. It?s like a toy whose light bulb stops blinking due to frequent use or whose jingle gets shaved off halfway.
