Visually, it feels like a blend of the Star Wars 3D animation stuff, The Incredibles, and both Transformers Prime and Earthspark. The overall light-hearted comedic tone reminds me of Ultraman Max and Ultraman R/B for a lack of better comparison. I kinda like how Ken's mannerisms feel very Spider-Man as Ultraman. Definitely not the usual Ultraman stuff we are used to, and while the plot seems nothing new, I like what I'm seeing.
BTW, Yuki Yamada aka Mr. Gokai Blue himself will be voicing Ken in the Japanese dub, so another reason I am interested. Because they not only have a toku alumni voice Ken but considering he's up there with Takeru from Shinkenger and Philip from Kamen Rider W in terms of an acting career gives me the impression that they're not half-assing it.
