Anyways, when Saban bought PR back and started making the Samurai show, BoA had already began work on the "Mega Mode" figures, so they asked if Saban would incluled them in the show so they didn't have to start from scratch. Saban agreed and refilmed the Megazord cockpit footage with Mega Mode costumes become that was probably the easiest to replace.

Power Rangers was dead until Saban got the rights back. BoA was stuck on reissues until then. The heads on the morphing toys were used as prototypes because there were no actors. And that's the reason why they have mask when they morph. Cause the toys were made before the show, so they incorporated that theme into the show.

They use new footage in the Megazord fights to make them more appealing because Zords toys are harder to sell in the US which is why they only use Mega Mode and Battlizer in that footage. The Rangers sale fine on their own, but to get the kids excited (myself included) to see the Ranger's new their form in the final show down within their Zords. Making that part of the show more appealing when it use to be boring and rushed in some seasons.
