Just noticed this detail, and it's these kind of touches that I absolutely adore.

Valavrad's left eye is actually the screw used to adjust the jaw of a wrench. It's actually incredily obvious, but I always saw it as a stylised eye because of the way it was shaped.

Gotchard's chest is also a flask, which fits in to the alchemy/chemical theme nicely.
