Myself, I ended up googling Philip Marlowe stuff after the show ended and searched Raymond Chandler stuff. I remember finishing Lady in the Lake and skimming through The Long Goodbye novel. By the way, for those interested, a Philip Marlowe tv show aired during the 80s starring Powers Boothe as Marlowe.
