This is a case in point when game lines can change companies.

Given Final Fantasy a game platform will no longer be able to carry a title digitally.

So in that case wait to see who gets the game before buying a digital copy so you don't lose access to it.

It's hard to tell who has rights to digital games as a home system these days and you can end up double dipping if you're not careful.

For Tomb Raider I have the first 9 games on Play Station 2.

Other platforms have released this franchise but I like to have a central place to play them on.

Some games will continue on another system not released on Play Station X Box or Wii.

So you end up buying all of them so you can continue the franchise line you're playing.

I got lucky with Tomb Raider so the switch would be to go PC with the 10th game.
