What I love about that is that once Saeko sees how much more powerful she is than Wakana, she doesn't want to kill Wakana -- she wants to torture her. It's the most narrative-supported way for a villain to avoid the killing stroke, and I'm super into it.

Also to comment on the Terui stuff, I feel like it works. Dude signed up to be a scarecrow, not to do something big like kiss a stranger on camera that'll likely get shown at least city-wide. Of course despair is waiting at his goal. I also figured that the ending was less about forcing and more about him studying up because he wants to act professionally and make up for running off and is so embroiled in wanting to do so, that he basically drags Team W into it.

Which is fair, but I feel like the show could've made Terui's specific reluctance a little clearer. They definitely play it like he's terrified of kissing, which is a slightly different story than public embarrassment.
