And in the first arc, Kirihiko is the one used as a disposable pawn by Saeko, not the other way around.

Her dad, mostly, and beyond that... like, none of these guys ever really saw her. Kirihiko admired and respected her, but that was heavily influenced by his desire for status and power, which he gained through marriage. Isaka eventually grew to love her, but that was after months of dismissing her humanity in favor of her Dopant form. (Also, he definitely saw her as a weapon against Ryuube.) It's hard to say the men in this story -- all of them, any of them -- really saw beyond what Saeko represented for their aspirations and goals.
