Sure, but this wasn't a situation where Shotaro and Philip started things off with Xtreme, though -- Philip and Tokime were about to get murdered by, uh, Murder, and Shotaro was a) not there, and b) too injured to be the base of Double, even if he'd been there. Seems pretty logical that Philip would use the recently-arrived Fang Memory? Definitely feels like an emergency!
