Relative to the depraved people around them, it's not much of a contest. Kouta has poor sportsmanship and Takatora is willing to sacrifice 6000000000 people, while Mai and Zack are too weak to substantially improve anything.

Yeah, I see now that Kaito being a static character is kind of the point, but like, knowing that does little to ease my frustration about it. I respect that he has a reason for being like that, but I think it's a stupid reason. If he was merely an arc villain, like Da-Paan, then I wouldn't mind, but after seeing Kaito ignore the flaws in his edgy argument for the 46th time, I just had no more investment in what happened to him at that point, other than how it contrasted to Kouta.
