Looks like this show might be taking a Kiramager approach of having many secondary writers, with this episode being written by Morichi Natsumi. Maybe that's for the best with this kind of show, as even if the quality varies a lot, there could still be something that everybody can enjoy to some extent.

If you shift to a lower gear while driving fast, then you'll get too much torque. This is Genba's problem, that his gear has suddenly become too low for the Boonboomgers' current speed. For a guy who takes pride in solving people's problems, his decision to join the team was his only way to overcome his obsolescence and find a new effective way to contribute. In addition to his love of plushies (he and Rita Kaniska will be best buds when they meet), he seems like a chill guy who people can relate to easily.

Crazy how Taiya jokingly accuses Genba of being mysterious for not wanting to reveal everything at once, even though Taiya is also keeping a lot of details to himself. I still think it's difficult to engage with Taiya at the moment, since he keeps saying weird stuff with no context. Similarly, his rivalry with Madwrecks doesn't seem to have a lot of depth. I've seen people compare it to Akaninjer's and Gabi Raizou's rivalry and I agree, Bun Red is strong and Madwrecks wants to be stronger. It's not particularly compelling to me, as I want to see more emotional tension between the heroes and villains.

Regarding the "tail to nose" thing the Hashiliens keep saying, is that actually a reference to tailgating?
