Our power goes out again, so I'm a little late watching this episode. In it, the show returns to the plot and it becomes noticeable that in the original script, Legend was clearly not going to be given 4 whole episodes. Therefore, Gigist is forced to throw out revelations and reveal secrets throughout the episode, and the ?Hopper Goes for a Walk? plot is clearly intended for calmer times. However, this is perhaps my only complaint.
Gigist clearly shows that faceless and omnipotent villains are not necessarily failures. He has character, charisma and even a peculiar dark sense of humor, and he also uses his abilities very effectively and originally. Also, being the creator of Chemies both forces Hotaru to face his greatest fear and is very much in keeping with the spirit of Kamen Rider. What also works for this is that the Chemies are treated as characters and living beings, which means Skebow is really pathetic.
I also can?t help but think that Uchida is correcting Saber?s mistakes in Gotchard. More carefully written lore, the council is destroyed not behind the scenes, the confrontation between Gotchard and Clotho began in the first episode.
However, as for me, it either really lacks Fukuda's guidance, or, as in the case of OOO and W, for every bug fixed, two new ones appear.
In any case, I'm very interested in what will happen in the next episodes and how the secrets revealed in this will play out.
