Hasbro doesn't put much effort into PR because they didn't want it to begin with. Only the former CEO wanted it, and when he passed, with him went the last vestige of interest in the brand.

They also have more control than you give them credit for. Compared to the Disney era, Toei has definitely loosened their grip, letting both Saban and Hasbro mash multiple seasons together for a single show (As well as seemingly no longer hard vetoing any requests for an animated series)
