Nijigon/Rainbow Gotchard (who only has 1% of the uber-demon's power) being able to defeat Gigist (who has 33% of the uber-demon's power) is said to be due to the aim of the creation of Nijigon egg: To rebuild 100% of the Philosopher's Stone, and thus, absorb all of the uber-demon's power. Which then begs the question: Who created the Nijigon egg? The Alchemist of Dawn? Houtarou's dad? Fuga? Or another unseen character? How could a mere human create something that can siphon off all of God's power? Well, perhaps the answer is: Because the plot needs it, haha.
